Celebrate Raw Milk Cheese Appreciation Day at the Oxbow Cheese and Wine Merchant on Saturday, April 22. This will be the third annual global celebration for raw milk cheeses, coordinated by the folks at Old Ways Cheese Coalition. They have started this as a way to help bring understanding and awareness of the old traditional methods of cheese and food making to the consumers. To find out more about what Old Ways Cheese Coalition is all about visit their website.
The Oxbow Cheese & Wine Merchant will be featuring a cheese board made up of three different raw milk cheeses, domestic and possibly imported, with accoutrements that you will be able to order through the bar to sit and enjoy with a glass of wine if you like. The raw milk cheese board will be offered through Sunday the 23rd as well. In addition to the raw milk cheese board they will also be sampling and promoting raw milk cheeses at the cheese counter, from all over the world. There will be a list for you to browse ALL the raw milk products that they are currently carrying. Stop by the Cheese and Wine Merchant and get a taste of some old world methods of cheese making!
